Community Outreach and Relations

TCEDA is working regionally to encourage economic development, most recently with the sale of Thomson Prison to the Bureau of Prisons. Our goal is to help communities identify their unique attributes and catalog them in a digital format that is able to be searched online. Having quick, convenient and accurate information is key to attracting visitors, and those who want to relocate, to our region.

The prison presents a myriad of opportunities. Opportunities not just for employment today, but employment opportunities for generations. Business contacting opportunities in the sort-term and for the long-term. Opportunities for entrepreneurs, and for established businesses.
